Nature Photography

What:

This two-part class is targeted to digital SLR camera (digital cameras that utilize interchangeable lenses) users. Join local nature photographer, Ty Smedes, in a “hands-on” nature photography class. During the first evening we will cover equipment, basic digital camera and post-processing concepts, photographic technique, composition, and lighting, as it relates to wildlife, scenic, wildflower, and macro photography. The second evening will take place on July 8, 6:00 p.m. to sunset at Green Meadows West Prairie in Johnston. Students will have the opportunity to perfect their technique in the field, photographing wildflowers. Instructor will assist the students in improving technique. Pre-registration is required; deadline is June 29. Minimum age 12. Fee: $25. To register, go to mycountyparks.com.
