Engeldinger Marsh
Hwy 65 and NE 120th Ave.
This 81-acre wildlife area has been described as a "geological and
ecological museum" because of its rare prairie pothole and sedge
meadow.
It is located 5 miles northeast of Bondurant on Highway 65. A
year-long survey at Engeldinger counted 314 species of plants,
19 species of mammals, 15 species of reptiles and amphibians,
and 82 species of birds.
A small parking area off NE 120th Street offers access for wildlife
viewing and hunting in the area.
